Town of Tonawanda
A Kenmore West High School teacher is expected to be appointed Monday afternoon to a vacant seat on the Town Board during its annual reorganization meeting.
William C. Conrad III would fill the seat formerly held by Joseph H. Emminger, who became town supervisor on Friday. Conrad, 38, is a lifelong town resident who is married with three children. He teaches U.S. history, economics and social studies. He was endorsed last month by the town’s Democratic Committee.
Conrad would have to run in November to finish out the remaining year in Emminger’s term, then run again in November 2017 for a full four-year term.
The board meets at 5 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave.
