Falls driver with a taste for cognac charged with DWI

NIAGARA FALLS – Police said

they found a half-empty bottle of cognac inside the truck of a man arrested for

drunken driving late Friday.

Ahmad R. Bradberry, 38, of Highland Avenue, was pulled over

just before midnight in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue, according to arrest

reports.

Police said he was stopped after being clocked driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. Police said that Bradberry posted a 0.20

reading on a preliminary breath test – more than twice the legal limit.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated,

consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, speeding and a felony count of

first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Police said Bradberry’s

driver’s license had been suspended for four scofflaw

violations.
