EMPact America of New York offering free gardening skills class on Jan. 23 in East Aurora

EMPact America of New York is offering a free Grow Your Own Garden class beginning at 11 a.m. Jan. 23 at 7615 Seneca Str., East Aurora.

Paul Kranz, a master gardener from the Cornell Cooperative Extension, will begin the class by covering issues including garden layout options, seed ordering and how to prepare for an outdoor garden.

At 1 p.m., Linda and Patrick Galla of Mother Earth Hydroponics will talk about indoor gardening options, including hydroponics and container gardening,
