Buffalo firefighters battled two blazes early Wednesday morning.
The roof collapsed during a fire at vacant home at 82 Shepard St., the Buffalo Fire Department said. Firefighters were called to the blaze near Broadway and Bailey Avenue at 1:19 a.m.
The 2½-story structure is recommended for emergency demolition and sustained $75,000 in damage. A neighboring structure at 84 Shepard also sustained $5,000 in exposure damage, the department said.
At 4 a.m., firefighters were called to 333 Langfield Drive, apt. B, for a kitchen fire which caused $30,000 in damage.
Two adults, including one disabled person, are being assisted by the Red Cross, the department said.
There were no injuries reported at either blaze. The causes of both fires are under investigation.
