Two robbers, one dressed in an orange coat with blue stripes on the sleeves, used pepper spray to disable a woman and steal $6 from her in a street robbery Sunday evening at Niagara Street and Hertel Avenue, Northwest District police said.
The victim told police that she and a witness were followed by a man and woman to a convenience store at Niagara and Hertel at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday. The two assailants ordered the two victims to come near them, and when they did, the female attacker used the pepper spray while the male took the cash from the victim’s hand.
Both suspects fled westbound on Hertel. Police suggested they may have photos from a nearby security camera.
