Chaffee woman charged for impersonating nurse

CHAFFEE – A 52-year-old Chaffee woman was arrested last week on a felony charge for pretending to be a registered nurse, State Police based in Warsaw announced Monday.

Back in November, Sally A. Miller allegedly provided information to the staff at the Skilled Nursing Facility of the Wyoming County Community Health System that she was currently a registered professional nurse and able to care for, arrange care for and administer medications to an elderly patient who was being discharged to the home care of Miller and her nursing company.

However, Miller had previously surrendered her license to practice in May 2014 because of a prior arrest in Buffalo.

Miller was charged Dec. 17 with unauthorized practice of a profession, which is a Class E Felony. She was released on an appearance ticket for the charge, returnable in the Village of Warsaw Court at a later date. She also faces charges in Allegany County stemming from her actions purporting to be a registered nurse.
