Tyler Ennis returns to the Sabres lineup Saturday afternoon as Buffalo hosts Chicago for a 1 p.m. game at First Niagara Center. Ennis missed 12 games with a lower body injury and will return to a line with Jack Eichel and Evander Kane.
"He's a guy who can play a lot of minutes and is able to do that but there may be some spot-duty at times, just keeping an eye on his minutes and the situations he's in," coach Dan Bylsma said when he met with the media Saturday morning. "But certainly going to look to get him on the power play and help us in that regard."
As Bylsma watches Ennis' minutes, look for Matt Moulson to slide into that line on occasion along with his regular shift, now on the fourth line. Moulson has not scored in 21 games.
"He's down with the fourth line and that doesn't really change what we need to see from him, what he needs to bring," Bylsma said.
"On the power play in the last few games he's been in that area. He's had a couple scoring chances on the power play situations, not as much five on five and a big part of that is just being able to bring the puck up the ice and get out of the def zone with and that's really an area where he's got to improve because if you can't get up the ice, you're not going to get to where he is good and where he can be effective for our team."
