Fredonia man injured in collision with truck on Route 60

CASSADAGA – A crash late Thursday involving a double tractor-trailer closed a portion of Route 60, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

A Fredonia man driving south on Route 60 crossed the double-yellow line, went into the northbound lane and struck the tractor-trailer at about 10:55 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.

The Fredonia man, identified as Jeffrey T. Camp, 41, was taken to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Hamot in Erie, Pa., for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Scott J. Dewey, 35, of Jamestown, suffered minor injuries and declined treatment, authorities said.

Charges are pending against Camp. A section of Route 60 was closed for several hours.
