Lloyd Taco Factory, the long-awaited restaurant born of Buffalo's food truck pioneer, will open
"Finally opening our brick and mortar this weekend!," chef Teddy Bryant said this morning on Facebook. "Come check out our hard work! Saturday!"
The restaurant, at 1503 Hertel Ave., will offer tacos, burritos and side dishes offered on Lloyd taco trucks, plus more dishes. A full bar, deep with tequila and mezcal, will be part of the program. Doors should open around 11 a.m., a Lloyd spokesperson said.
Lloyd co-founder Chris Dorsaneo said he hopes customers will be patient, considering that the restaurant could be overwhelmed by interest during its first attempt at full service.
When Lloyd taco truck started serving at Main and Seneca in 2010, restaurateurs feared that food trucks would lead to restaurant closures. With Lloyd Taco Factory joining Marble + Rye, which started as the Black Market Food Truck, the reverse is taking place.
Lloyd Taco Factory hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Closed Sunday.
