Dr. Michael Brogan, Daemen College vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college, was appointed to the editorial advisory board for the journal Wounds. Brogan, a certified wound care specialist, joins other national and international experts on the board for the peer-reviewed journal on wound care and wound research.
Hearts and Hands appointed Glenda M. Cadwallader as interim leadership support to provide short term transitional leadership and aid to the board and staff while they begin a search process for a new executive director. Cadwallader was executive director of the Tower Foundation, established by Peter and Elizabeth Tower in 1990 to improve the lives of young people in Western New York and eastern Massachusetts, and ran her own consulting business working with not-for-profit organizations.

Wendel is celebrating its 75th year in business. Founded in 1940, Wendel was started as a civil engineering firm by Leon Wendel, out of his garage in Lockport.
