Utica buzz magnet Comfy is set to ride the positive wave back into town for its final Buffalo date of the year on Dec. 18 at Dreamland.
The fully realized bedroom project of Central New York songwriter Connor Benincasa, the now four-piece garage-pop act has received a fair share of blogosphere love, including shoutouts in Rolling Stone, Impose and Stereogum, following the release of its 2014 tape “Pillowhugger” on Brooklyn’s Miscreant Records. While working on the proper follow-up to the cassette, the group teamed up with Rochester besties Skirts to drop a seasonably pleasing split tape this past summer.
Joining Comfy will be Buffalo crust-folk outfit Mr. Boneless, as well as the debut performance from Mothers, a new project featuring members of both Comfy and Boneless.
Comfy will perform Dec. 18 at Dreamland (387 Franklin St.). Doors will open at 8 p.m. with a suggested donating of $5 at the door. Further event details can be found here.
