NIAGARA FALLS – More than 230 properties will go on the auction block beginning at 9 a.m. Monday during the City of Niagara Falls’ annual real property tax auction.
The auction will be held in the Quality Inn. 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd., and continue until all the properties are sold.
Registration begins at 8 a.m.
The properties include residential and commercial buildings and vacant lots, with taxes unpauid since 2011. Money raised goes to the city’s general fund, the Niagara Falls Water Board and Niagara County to offset the back taxes.
“The taxpayers are the real beneficiaries of this auction,” said Russ Scherrer, Auctions International president and CEO. “We are delighted to be working with the City of Niagara Falls once again on this important auction to help put more than 230 properties back on the tax rolls.”
The properties can be previewed at www.auctionsinternational.com. Free copies of the complete tax catalog are available in Niagara Falls City Hall.
