John Pezzino III, occupational therapist, Realtor

June 9, 1968 – Dec. 5, 2015

John Pezzino III, a real estate broker, died Saturday in his Town of Tonawanda home. He was 47.

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Pezzino graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1986 and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from D’Youville College.

He worked as an occupational therapist at the Hand & Shoulder Center of Western New York at the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital from 1992 to 2011. He also was co-owner of Buffalo Niagara Realty Inc. beginning in 2001.

Mr. Pezzino, a lifelong resident of Western New York, was a member of the Western New York Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

He was a religious person who read and studied the Bible on a daily basis and regularly attended both St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and the Chapel at CrossPoint.

In addition to his former wife, Sherryl, he is survived by son, John; a daughter, Victoria; his parents, John and Mary; three brothers, Joseph, James and Anthony; and his grandfather, Francis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, Amherst.
