Staub Square, a retail center at 1 Buffalo St. in Hamburg, has shuffled some of its stores.
Ray Crinzi Jewelers has moved from the Staub Square Atrium to a new spot at 21 Buffalo St. Another Staub Square retailer, Lodgical, has moved into Crinzi’s old space, which is about 45 percent bigger than its original location. Lodgical sells Adirondack-inspired specialty foods and giftware made in the United States. Lodgical’s old space is up for lease.
Also in the Atrium, Village Sweet Shoppe has changed its name to Highland House Candies. The confectioner bought the fondly remembered candy shop’s name and some of its recipes and offically made the switch last month. Highland House Candies was first established in the 1950s in the basement of founder Genevieve Carr’s Highland Avenue home. Carr and her son, Dick, eventually opened retail stores in Hamburg and East Aurora and Highland House became a household name among locals.
Sweet Pea bakery opened in Staub Square last month, near Prima Oliva. Sweet Pea specializes in gluten-free baked goods.
