JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is accused of killing his wife and stepson in their Barrows Street home.
Allen P. Witruke faces two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Catherine Witruke, 52, and Eric Washburn, 34, Jamestown police said.
Both victims were stabbed several times while one suffered blunt force trauma, police said.
The bodies of Catherine Witruke and Washburn were discovered in the home at 235 Barrows St. on Tuesday morning. They were pronounced dead at the scene by the Chautauqua County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators announced Early Tuesday afternoon they were seeking the public’s help in locating Allen Witruke, who they thought could be driving to Wisconsin.
Allen Witruke, 51, was arrested by Olean police early Tuesday afternoon after they stopped his Chevrolet Impala.
He was being held Wednesday in the Jamestown city jail awaiting arraignment.
