Crandall named superintendent at Silver Creek Central

SILVER CREEK – Fredonia High School Principal Todd A. Crandall will become superintendent of the Silver Creek Central School District Feb. 1.

The School Board unanimously appointed Crandall, who has 25 years experience as an educator. His contract will run through June 2019.

He began his career as an elementary teacher in the Mayville Central School Distinct, where he also coached junior varsity football, varsity boys basketball and softball. He was high school principal at Forestville Central before joining Fredonia as principal in 2003.

Crandall earned his bachelor and master of science degrees in education from SUNY Fredonia and holds a certificate of advanced study in school administration and supervision from SUNY Oswego.

“The warmth, pride and enthusiasm of all the stakeholders shown throughout the interview process has shown me that the school district is progressive, responsive and has established itself as an educational leader in the county and region,” Crandall said.
