The Advertising Club of Buffalo recently named Scott Bartels president of its board of directors. Bartels is assistant vice president, digital content delivery at HSBC Bank USA. Company Connections

Buffalo Trim opened it’s third location at 6850 Main St., on the corner and Transit Road recently. This newest location offers $10 haircuts until 2016 at this location only. Business partners, Nicholas Kelly, and Lawrence Grace, friends since high school, opened their first store five years ago. All salons, specializing in men’s haircuts, are open everyday of the week and have 11 TVs, a billiards table and sports memorabilia adorning the walls.


Chakra Communications has renewed its retainer agreement with Costanzo’s Bakery for marketing services for another year.


Daemen College will launch a new advanced certificate program in executive leadership and change in January, which is designed to prepare working professionals for leadership positions in business, health professions, higher education, and nonprofit organizations.


Lake Shore Savings Bank raised $15,000 for Mikey’s Way Foundation during its October campaign. Mikey’s Way Days serve the children of Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Buffalo Women & Children’s Hospital by giving electronics that are equipped with Wi-Fi and Skype capabilities to be able to connect the children to family, friends and school.
