Buffalo man pleads guilty to felony DWI in Niagara County

LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man who was arrested on felony drunken driving charges March 11 in North Tonawanda pleaded guilty Friday in State Supreme Court.

Eric D. Herndon, 50, of Brunswick Boulevard, admitted to felony driving while intoxicated and faces a possible four-year prison term when he is sentenced Feb. 19 by Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. Herndon had refused the breath test after his arrest.

In another DWI case before Kloch Friday, Stephen Klejdys, 38, of Graydon Drive, Wheatfield, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count and was scheduled for sentencing Feb. 5. Klejdys was arrested Nov. 8 after a police chase from Main Street in North Tonawanda to the corner of Broad and Williams Streets in the City of Tonawanda, which resulted when he was clocked driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. He also refused the breath test.
