Brandon’s generosity reveals true character
I was having coffee with my friend and his challenged son last week at the Starbucks on Maple Road in Williamsville when Russ Brandon, president of the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres, came into the shop for a cup of coffee. As he has in the past, Brandon came over to talk with the young man. After talking for a while, he walked out the door, then came back in and gave the boy a brand-new Bills jacket. The young man was absolutely ecstatic.
Now, this was not in front of a large group of people, but just the boy’s father and myself. And, even more so, after a tough loss in New England that week. This is just a small example of the type of people who live here in Western New York. Talking proud.
