LOCKPORT – A contractor is accused taking cash for a job and never returning.
Craig D. Semple, 44, of Cambria was charged by New York State Police on Monday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.
Police reported that a homeowner hired Semple to remove a barn in the Town of Lockport. The homeowner said he paid Semple in cash in April, but he never returned.
Semple was arrested and issued an appearance ticket to return to court in Pendleton on Dec. 23.
Anyone who has experienced problems after hiring Semple as a contractor is asked to contact state police Investigator Thomas Gibbons at 434-1245.
