LOCKPORT – A Lockport woman has two court dates this week and another next week in connection with an incident in a Tops Markets parking lot the day before Thanksgiving.
State Police charged Kristen L. Walp, 35, with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident after they said she backed into a parked car and fled the area.
The owners of the parked car called 911 and followed Walp back to her residence in the City of Lockport.
Walp refused to submit to a breath test, State Police said. In addition to the charges of DWI and leaving the scene, State Police also charged Walp with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and unsafe backing.
Walp, who had been sent to the Niagara County Jail on $1,000 bail, was due in Lockport City Court on Monday and Lockport Town Court on Thursday. She also has a Department of Motor Vehicles hearing in Niagara Falls on Dec. 7.
