Bills/Patriots inactives: EJ Manuel back in, Josh Johnson out at QB

Coach Rex Ryan assured that EJ Manuel was still the Buffalo Bills' No. 2 quarterback after making him inactive last week against the New York Jets. His actions Monday back up the support. Manuel is active behind the starter, Tyrod Taylor, with Josh Johnson back on the bench.

The Bills made Johnson the back-up against the Jets, Ryan said, because he had prepared for Todd Bowles' defense before and knew the game plan better.

There aren't many other surprises on the inactive list. Again, the Bills are without defensive tackle Kyle Williams. Also, right tackle Cyrus Kouandjio is inactive, which means Jordan Mills will be the back-up against New England.
