Amherst man pleads guilty, Wheatfield woman not guilty in Leandra’s Law cases

LOCKPORT – An Amherst man who drove drunk with his three children as his passengers pleaded guilty to a felony Monday in State Supreme Court.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. scheduled sentencing Feb. 4 for Alexander Pinilla, 35, of Travers Circle, who admitted to aggravated driving while intoxicated for violating Leandra’s Law May 23 on lake Road in Wilson. Pinnilla, whose blood alcohol content was measured at .27 percent, could go to prison for as long as four years.

In another Leandra’s Law case before Kloch Monday, Christine R. Moje, 37, of Walmore Road, Wheatfield, pleaded not guilty to an indictment accusing her of driving under the influence of drugs while her son was in her vehicle Aug. 9 in Lewiston. The indictment also accuses her of drugged driving Jan. 24 on Route 31 in the Town of Niagara.
