A Berkshire Avenue woman, angered when canned goods were thrown through the windows of her home early Saturday, confronted the apparent vandal and chased his car, Northeast District police reported.
After the cans broke several windows in her house shortly after 1:30 a.m., the woman and her son ran outside and found a vehicle with several persons inside. Police said the woman was confronted by a man who stepped out of the car and showed a gun in his waistband. He then returned to the vehicle, which sped off. The woman chased the auto in her vehicle, but the occupants stopped and ran away after a brief pursuit.
Police said they found the car about a block from the woman’s home and determined that the auto had been reported stolen.
