UB Management School honors Lomeo, other executives

The University at Buffalo School of Management honored Jody L. Lomeo, president and CEO of Kaleida Health and the Great Lakes Health System of Western New York, as its 2015 Buffalo Niagara executive of the year at an awards ceremony last week.

The school recognized Lomeo and several other executives at its 66th annual Alumni Association awards banquet, held at Statler City in downtown Buffalo.

The other honorees were: Thomas P. Cogan, senior vice president at Citi, for service to the Management School; Samantha Bonano, president and CEO of Buffalo Filter, for an emerging alumna; Gregg S. Fisher, president and chief investment officer of Gerstein Fisher, for industry leadership; Marylou Borowiak, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Western New York, for service to the community; and Mike Shatzel, partner in restaurants including Cole’s, Blue Monk, Liberty Hound, Moor Pat and Allen Burger Venture, for entrepreneurship.
