Federal authorities confiscated nearly $900,000 worth of Ecstasy hidden in the seats of a vehicle trying to cross the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge on Thursday.
Donna Campbell, 48, tried to enter the United States at about 2 p.m. when a secondary inspection turned up 16 bags of the drug, also known as MDMA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
Vacuum-sealed bags of blue and pink pills found in the back seat area, along with other bags of pills, weighed about 28 pounds. The estimated street value of the drugs is more than $880,000, officials said.
Campbell, a Canadian citizen, was turned over to State Police to face drug possession charges.
