Lockport woman arrested in Rochester for Batavia crack dealing

BATAVIA –A 41-year-old Lockport woman was arrested Wednesday in Rochester in connection with a Genesee County grand jury indictment accusing her of crack cocaine trafficking in the Batavia area.

Laura L. Fletcher of Holly Street, Lockport, was arrested by Monroe County probation officers who had been alerted to the Genesee County indictment and located her.

She was turned over to Genesee County sheriff’s deputies and arraigned in Genesee County Court on felony counts of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. She was remanded to the Genesee County Jail here pending further court proceedings. Fletcher was indicted as a result of a Genesee County Local Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation of sales of crack cocaine in and around Batavia in the last year.
