Local pro-refugee groups gathered in front of the Old County Hall building on Franklin Street this afternoon after Legislature Majority Leader Joseph C. Lorigo urged Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz to change his position on refugees.

Erie County has the most Syrian refugees of any New York county -- 18 out of 41 total for the state.
