LOCKPORT – Winning bids totaled $104,300 in the City of Lockport tax foreclosure auction, held this week in City Hall.
Eighteen parcels were sold after two others were withdrawn from the sale for legal reasons. The highest price was $27,500 for a 1,260-square-foot home and an adjoining 1.38-acre vacant lot on Hyde Park, purchased by Daniel K. McKie Jr. of McKie Properties LLC, of Royalton. It was the only property that brought in a bid of more than $10,000.
Deputy City Treasurer Steven Goerss said the Treasurer’s Office has not yet calculated the total of the property taxes the city wrote off in the foreclosures.
