Niagara suspends guard Karonn Davis for four games

Niagara University sophomore point guard Karonn Davis will sit out the next four men's basketball game for a violation of team rules, the Purple Eagles announced Wednesday.

The suspension begins for Niagara's home opener against Brown Wednesday and will include two tournament games in Connecticut and a home game against Youngstown State on Nov. 28. He is scheduled to return for Niagara's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener at home against Quinnipiac on Dec. 4.

Davis averaged 7.3 points a game last season and 30 minutes a game. He played 30.5 minutes a game over Niagara's first two games this season and averaged 4.5 points.
