Aline Mary Boutet, of the Town of Tonawanda, a registered nurse, died Tuesday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga. She was 90.
Born in Buffalo, the former Aline Allen was a graduate of Gowanda High School and the University of Buffalo School of Nursing at Millard Fillmore Hospital.
Mrs. Boutet served as a nurse for Millard Fillmore Hospital, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and the Visiting Nurses Association, and in public and parochial schools in Buffalo. She retired in 1992.
She volunteered for Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels for many years and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic, who enjoyed going to many area churches and was friends with many members of the clergy. One of her most treasured memories was seeing Pope John Paul II at the Vatican.
A singer, she was a member of the Sweet Adelines and its championship quartet, Page 4.
Her husband of 42 years, Paul, died in 1990.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary K. Burnside, Martha A. Boutet and Elizabeth J. Smith; two sons, Robert F. and John H.; a sister, Rosemary Pisaro; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
