LOCKPORT – Mariah E. Long, the 19-year-old suspect who escaped from custody early Tuesday at Eastern Niagara Hospital, now faces a new series of charges.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and Lockport police have charged her with felony counts of first-degree escape, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree grand larceny plus misdemeanor charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and second-degree harassment.

Long, who was in custody on a robbery charge, faces further proceedings Monday in Lockport City Court, Sheriff James R. Voutour said Thursday.
