About Sacred Heart: The Pioneers won their Atlantic Hockey opener on Tuesday, 4-1, at American International. They are allowing a league-best 1.75 goals and 25 shots a game.

Trending: Junior Shane Conacher has a point in all four of the Griffs’ games this season. Conacher has three goals and three assists.

About Cornell: This is the regular-season opener for the Big Red, which won both its exhibition games last weekend. Last year Cornell went 11-14-6. It was picked to finish seventh in the ECAC preseason coaches’ poll.

Trending: The Purple Eagles are giving up the second-most shots per game in the country. with opponents averaging 40.

Stat check: Niagara is 1 for 11 on the power play this year while its penalty kill has given up seven goals on 16 attempts.
