Three-member board runs town efficiently
If you enjoy political theater, from comedy to tragedy, those citizens and media attending the Town of Hamburg Board meetings have experienced stirring performances over the past several years. In the meantime, in Hamburg, snow continued to be plowed, garbage and waste continued to be picked up, police continued to patrol, parks remained open and senior citizen programs operated.
That’s because municipal services are provided not by politicians, but by dedicated civil service employees and community volunteers. This is how services are provided in Hamburg and throughout Western New York, including the Town of Orchard Park, where a three-member board provides efficient and effective governance. This being so, why would Hamburg residents want more politicians performing on stage in Town Hall every other week?
