Will it be more hockey, walking trails or pools?
The Town of Hamburg is looking for community input on its recreation master plan update at a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculata Academy, 5138 South Park Ave.
The town and its consultant, Wendel, will assess the town’s current recreation programs and facilities, as well as future recreational needs. There will be time for public comment and suggestions from individuals and organizations on what they would like to see.
The presentation also will include details about the recently proposed new multi-sport athletic complex that would be a public/private partnership between the town and Nustadia Recreation, Inc., a Canadian corporation based in Hamilton, Ont.
At least one more community outreach meeting will be scheduled over the next few months and a public survey on recreational needs in Hamburg is on the department website.
The town’s last major revision to the recreation master plan was in 1994.
