Carson is not a ‘crackpot;’ he’s intelligent, respected

I was extremely offended by Eugene Robinson’s use of the word “crackpot” to describe presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson. Carson is a highly intelligent, thoughtful and caring person who rose up from extreme poverty and adversity to become a highly successful and greatly respected pediatric neurosurgeon. His presidential platform for improving our educational system, health care system and race relations, among other things, is truly inspiring.

Here is a man who is deeply concerned about the direction our country is heading, and has very good ideas for making America the best it can be. Is this the definition of a crackpot? I don’t think so.
