A 6-year-old Buffalo girl was struck by a car Wednesday morning as she was trying to get on her school bus, Buffalo police said.
The incident took place at about 7:30 a.m. at Ontario Street and Royal Avenue.
Police said the girl was hit by the vehicle as it passed the bus.
The driver, identified as a Buffalo woman in her late 70s, was cited for passing a school bus that had its warning signals on.
The child was taken to Women and Children’s Hospital with what police said were “apparent non-life threatening injuries.”
