North Tonawanda man arrested for two City of Tonawanda business burglaries

CITY OF TONAWANDA – A 31-year-old North Tonawanda man was being held on $10,000 bail on burglary and other charges linked to business burglaries in the City of Tonawanda last May and earlier this month, according to Captain Fredric Foels of the Tonawanda Police Department.

Leroy L. Twitty of Miller Street, North Tonawanda, was arrested by detectives earlier this week for a May 15 burglary at the Subway Restaurant at 45 Niagara Street and a Sept. 18 burglary at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 10 Main Street.

Twitty is being held on two counts each of third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny pending a felony hearing Friday morning in Tonawanda City Court.
