Buffalo’s 13th edition of Dining Out for Life is set for Oct. 6, when nearly 100 Western New York restaurants will donate a portion – or all – of the evening’s proceeds for local AIDS programs.
All diners have to do is show up and eat, and the restaurant does the rest.
The standard restaurant donation is 25 percent, but two places are devoting 100 percent of proceeds to the local beneficiary, Evergreen Community Services. Those are Erie Community College restaurants, City Campus’ EM Statler Dining Room and Statler’s Erie Room Restaurant, at North Campus in Amherst.
Donating 50 percent: Black & Blue Steak & Crab in Amherst, the Black Sheep, Cecelia’s Ristorante, Century Grill, Craving, Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, Martin Cooks, Merge, Ristorante Lombardo and Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. Also, Alfies Restaurant and Brazil Craft Beer & Wine Lounge, both in Jamestown.
Donating 33 percent: Lagerhaus 95, Oliver’s, Osteria 166, Public Espresso & Coffee @ Hotel Lafayette, Tandoori’s in Amherst and Forte in Jamestown.
Newly participating restaurants include Allen Burger Venture, Big Ditch Brewing Company, BOSS, Daniel’s in Hamburg, the Foundry Lounge, Gypsy Parlor, Handlebar, Hydraulic Hearth, Just Vino, Lagerhaus 95, Marble + Rye, Marotto’s in Kenmore, My Thai in Niagara Falls, The Phoenix, Protocol in Amherst; Providence Social, Public House of Buffalo, Public Espresso & Coffee @ Hotel Lafayette, Public House on the Lake in Hamburg, Rust Belt Bar and Grill in Blasdell, Sato and Thirsty Buffalo.
