May Street man arrested for stealing copper from a vacant house

A 21-year-old May Street man allegedly seen by Buffalo police officers as he broke a window to get out of a vacant house in the fifth block of Walden Avenue late Tuesday was arrested for stealing copper tubing.

Michael G. Maxwell, whose house was just around the corner from the vacant house, was charged with felony burglary counts after police officers reported spotting him climbing out the window of the vacant house carrying a hammer, a red duffle bag containing a pair of pliers and a bag of copper tubing.
