Shotgun stolen in Riverside burglary

More than $1,100 worth of items, including a shotgun valued at $700, were reported stolen from a home in Riverside on Saturday.

A man told Northwest District police officers that his home in the 100 block of Ullman Street was burglarized sometime between 4 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

In addition to the Remington 870 shotgun, a Guess watch worth $100, a Hitachi roofing gun valued at $350 and various clothing items were taken, according to a police report.

The burglars apparently gained access to the home by breaking a rear kitchen window, police said. Damage was listed at $150.
