A Buffalo woman is accused of leaving her 8-year-old son home alone and allowing him to walk busy Riverside streets alone with no shoes on, Buffalo police reported.
Amanda Jones, 30, of Newfield Street was charged Friday morning with endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
The boy was allowed to walk Ontario and Tonawanda streets alone, police said.
During officers’ investigation, Jones allegedly tried to take the child and leave after being told several times by officers that she was not free to go, according to a report.
Jones continued to try to leave after being told she was under arrest and resisted officers’ attempts to place her in handcuffs, the report stated.
