Jamie Miller of the Wanakah Country Club is only a stroke out of the lead entering Sunday’s final round of the New York State Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship. The competition is taking place at Wolferts Roost Country Club in Albany. Miller is the defending champion.
Miller shot a 73 on Saturday to finish at 142 after two rounds. That’s a shot behind the co-leaders, Luke Hobika of Cavalry Club and Tim Spitz of the Monroe Golf Club.
Andy Fretthold and Ryan Spady, both of the River Oaks Golf Club, are at 150 and qualified for Sunday’s final round.
