MAYVILLE – A 36-year-old motorist was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop early Friday in the Town of Pomfret, according to Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies.
After witnessing an improper left turn and several lane violations, deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by Jayson M. Anello, of South Dayton, on Route 20 just before 1:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office reported.
Anello was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated related to Annello having a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more. He also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and was cited for improper left turn, moved from lane unsafely and drove across hazard markings.
Following arraignment in Pomfret Town Court, Anello was released pending a future court appearance.
