GOWANDA – Seven people were arrested after a “large quantity” of heroin and marijuana, packaged and ready for sale, was seized Friday morning from a West Main Street home, village police announced.
The execution of a search warrant at 42 W. Main St. capped off an investigation, launched several months ago, into heroin and crack cocaine sales in and around the village, police said.
Village police as well as the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and State Police, performed the search.
Charged with felony counts of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance were: Indigo J. Vantino, 21; Miraya L. Vantino, 24; Gunnar J. Dole, 23; Andrew D. Estrada, 20; and Jessica L. Silverheels, 35, all of Gowanda; and Amanda Borner, 20, of Perrysburg.
Also arrested Friday morning was Jordan A. Lundell, 21, of Irving, who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and a misdemeanor count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia – identified by police as scales.
Lundell was released on a ticket to appear in Collins Town Court, while the six others were sent to Cattaraugus County Jail following arraignment in Persia Town Court.
