A Town of Tonawanda police patrol car responding to a call was involved in a two-car crash Thursday morning at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Sheridan Drive, police said.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital for treatment, Capt. Joseph Carosi said.
The patrol car was headed south on Delaware about 8:30 a.m. when it struck another vehicle headed eastbound on Sheridan, Carosi said. The officer was responding to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle, he said.
The patrol car hit a pole, knocking out power to the traffic signal at the intersection.
The other driver was not injured.
