Two bridge maintenance projects scheduled for Interstate 190 in Buffalo Saturday will result in lane and ramp closings, the state Department of Transportation announced.
The I-190 southbound ramp to the Scajaquada Expresswat eastbound (Exit 11) will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday.
And, the I-190 southbound ramp to Route 5 (Exit 7) will be closed and Route 5 westbound (outbound) will be reduced to one lane from Church Street to just beyond Exit 7 from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Detours will ve posted and motorists should expect delays. The work could be delayed in the event of bad weather.
Motorists are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
