Mule named Sal would be great Canalside attraction
Last month, in response to an article on the Children’s Museum, I casually offered that any design should include a stable for a mule named Sal, which could be a great petting zoo feature of the museum. I envisioned it as Buffalo’s answer to Punxsutawney Phil. I was somewhat surprised by the overwhelming positive response from many readers, including some public officials. I guess that no one at the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. reads The News since, alas, there seems to be no such appendage in the latest rendering of the museum.
