Two men shot in Buffalo late Monday; both driven to hospital by friends

Two men who were shot in apparently unrelated incidents were driven to the Erie County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries Monday night, according to Buffalo Police spokesman Michael DeGeorge.

A man was shot in the leg on East Ferry Street near Goodyear Avenue about 8:15 p.m. and about five minutes later another man was shot in the wrist during at incident on Genesee Street near Crossman Street, according to DeGeorge.

Both both victims were driven to the Grider Street hospital by private vehicles. Both shootings remain under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Buffalo Police Confidential TIPCALL Line at 716-847-2255.
