Town of Tonawanda

Author and historian John Percy will sign his book “Buffalo-Niagara Connections: A New Regional History of the Buffalo-Niagara Link” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Kenmore Library, 160 Delaware Road.

The book’s 370 pages chronicles in text and photos geography’s impact on the history and development of the region. The oversized softcover volume will be available for $33. Cash or check will be accepted.

Copies of the book will be distributed to all Erie County library locations, made possible by Percy, the Kenmore Village Improvement Society, Buffalo and Erie County Public Library and WNY Heritage Press.

Thursday’s signing will also include refreshments and a prize raffle.

This week:

• The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4 in the second-floor conference room.

• A Kenmore Planning Board meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Room 15 at the Municipal Building.

• Registration is open for the town’s 2015-16 youth ice hockey season. The house league is open to residents and non-residents and all registrants are assigned to a team. Player rating will take place Oct. 2 for pee wee and bantam; Oct. 3 for squirts; Oct. 14 for mites; and Oct. 15 for mini-mites. All practices and games are at Brighton and Lincoln arenas.
